Johnny Sudz |

The Elements of A Pressure Washer

When it comes to selecting the right gas pressure washer, there are several key components to take under consideration. Understanding these components will help you make an informed decision that ensures you choose a model that will best suits your needs.

As an authorized BE Power Equipment Dealer and Service Center we utilize their existing knowledge on the Five Active Cleaning Factors of a pressure washer.  The factors are: PSI (Pounds Per Square Inch), GPM (Gallons Per Minute), Heat, Soap/Detergent and Agitation.

BE Power Equipment Five Active Cleaning Factors of A Pressure Washer

Understanding Product Series

Different BE Power Equipment Gas Pressure Washer models are put into 3 different series: Workshop, Commercial and Industrial. Each series has products best suited to quality, use level and overall performance of the pressure washer. The drive type is another way to classify each series. The Drive System refers to how the engine transfers its power spin to the pump. Direct drive systems have the pump mounted directly onto the engine shaft creating a simple, compact power transfer. Belt drive systems separate the pump and the engine with a belt and pulley system. While more complicated, it greatly prolongs the life of the pump and engine & is used in many industrial units in the BE Power Equipment line. Direct drive systems feature a compact design, less moving parts, lower cost option with very low maintenance. Belt drive systems feature better heat management, less vibration transfer, lower RPM and longer life expectancy.

Workshop units focus on delivering the power needed in a small, lightweight, and affordable package. Both Workshop & Commercial typically have direct drive pumps. While Workshop units are great for around the house or washing your car, Commercial units are built for those who depend on durable and effective equipment every day and are perfect for contractors, garages, shops, property maintenance, etc. Industrial series units are engineered for professionals who need high-end performance from their equipment all day, every day. These units typically run on belt drive systems. Check out the picture below for more information and common features.

BE Power Equipment Engine Comparison

The engine is the most important part of every pressure washer. BE Power Equipment only offers Over Head Valve (OHV) engines due to their higher low-end torque, compact size, and easier maintenance. BE offers 4 different engine models: Powerease R-Series, Kohler SH/CH Series, Vanguard Series and Honda GX Series. These engines all have horizontal shafts because of the superior lubrication of the pumps will get from this orientation. It is also easier to work with horizontal placed pumps when setting up, and packing up a pressure washer. See the comparison below for more information and the different warranty terms on each model. While selecting your pressure washer it is also extremely important to know where warranty repairs can be made at. View the service center line at the bottom for info on each model.

Which Model is Best for You?

Ultimately, the best gas pressure washer for you will depend on your cleaning needs, budget, and preferences. Consider the PSI, GPM, drive systems, and warranty coverage when making your choice. Research different models, read reviews, and compare specifications to find the perfect pressure washer that meets all your requirements.

By carefully considering these key components and factors, you can confidently choose the right gas pressure washer that will help you tackle any cleaning task with ease and efficiency.
